FOR HORSE'S SAKE - Mind, Body and Horse
CENTERED RIDING is not a separate discipline, it is a way of communicating with your horse - whether it is for hunt seat, jumping, dressage, western or just for pleasure!

It is a universal language that benefits ALL styles and levels of riders.

Centered Riding is a new way of expressing the old classical principles of riding. It answers the question of “how” when the riding instructor tells you “what” to do.
It gives you a new way to communicate with your horse and a new perspective on riding.
Many people are caught in the trap of unconscious habit.  Their bodies know only the habitual way of movement.  Centered Riding allows you to learn about and become deeply aware of where your body is, its different parts and how they work as a unified whole.  If riders can understand how they move and how a horse moves then they can learn how the two interact.  They will achieve a natural harmony with their horse, for both the horse and rider's sake!

June Chadwick is a certified Level 1 Centered Riding instructor and also
a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, the basis of Centered Riding , She uses her special skills to work with the four basics: soft eyes, breathing, centering, building blocks, which provides a kinesthetic approach to her teaching. This enables the student to acquire a greater knowledge of the sense and feel of riding.
